(Undated) – We are beginning 2024 with gas prices headed in the right direction for drivers. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is hovering around $3.07 a gallon, down six cents from Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is below three dollars a gallon at $2.99. Drivers in Indiana are paying $2.80 a gallon. Oklahoma continues to have the cheapest price per gallon with drivers seeing a statewide average of $2.59. In California, the statewide average is $4.65 a gallon.
