(Undated) – Gas prices are trending higher as we head into the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is up six cents from Monday to $3.10 a gallon but it’s thirty-nine cents lower than a year ago. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is up two cents from the beginning of the week to $3.22 a gallon, forty-five cents lower than January 2023. In Indiana, the statewide average is $2.99 a gallon, down eight cents from Monday and thirty-six cents lower than a year ago.
