(Undated) – Health Departments statewide are encouraging vulnerable individuals to get vaccinated for RSV. According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, they have a limited supply of RSV Vaccine that is being distributed to County Health Departments. The CDC says that RSV is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two. However, RSV can be serious for infants and older adults. You are encouraged to talk to your primary care provider to see if an RSV vaccination is right for you.
