(Undated) — Finding licensed officials to umpire games remains a problem for many schools around Illinois. According to officials with the Illinois High School Association, this is a familiar problem. IHSA Executive Director, Craig Anderson, says while the trend is in the right direction with more than 3-thousand new licensed officials last year than in 2022, it remains an issue. Anderson says those looking to get “back behind the whistle” can begin applying at IHSA.org.
