By Tony Collins Feb 2, 2024 | 6:35 AM

(Undated) – Gas prices remain in a state of flux. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.14 a gallon, six cents higher than Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average remains largely unchanged from Monday, falling a penny to $3.18 a gallon. Indiana drivers continue to enjoy gas prices below three dollars a gallon at $2.87, eight cents lower than where they started the week. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says he believes this is just the beginning and we should brace for larger increases in the coming month as refiners switch back to “summer blends” and demand increases.
