(Undated) – Gas prices continue to trend higher. The national average has jumped thirteen cents from the beginning of the week to $3.31 a gallon. The statewide average here in Illinois has climbed to $3.50 a gallon, a fourteen cent jump from Monday. In Indiana, the statewide average is up eighteen cents from Monday to $3.30 a gallon. Despite a dime jump from Monday, Oklahoma continues to have the lowest price in the nation at $2.76 a gallon. Drivers in California are paying the highest statewide average at $4.64, up six cents from Monday. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says refinery issues and the EPA-mandated switch to summer gasoline are in part to blame for the rising prices.
