(Undated) – Some portions of central Illinois could be in for an increased risk of severe weather today. Forecasters say there is a “significant chance” of severe storms as a cold front pushes into the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been having the past couple of days. While temperatures are expected to go as high as the upper 70s today, scattered thunderstorms are expected for the WTYE listening area through the overnight tonight. The National Weather Service says we may see hail and there is the potential for tornadoes.
