(Oblong) – The Village of Oblong has issued a notice to some of its water customers. According to Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, there will be a scheduled interruption in water service for most customers in the area south of the railroad tracks and north of Florida Street beginning on Monday, March 4th around 7 a.m. The disruption will last for several hours as Oblong Public Works employees and contractors work to install a new water main in the 300 and 400 blocks of South Adams Street. Fielder says Oblong Public Works employees will be distributing “door notes” to all affected customers and only those who receive a “door note” will be affected.
