(Undated) – The recent double-digit jump in the price at the pump is being blamed on the switch to “summer gasoline.” According to GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, it will likely continue as the entire nation has now made the first step toward “summer gasoline.” He says the pinch at the pump has been manageable for now, but that will likely change as we enter the madness of the next couple of months with refinery maintenance hitting its peak, impacting how much gasoline can be produced, which always crimps supply, leading to further gas price increases. The current national average is $3.38 a gallon, three cents higher than yesterday and twenty-six cents higher than a month ago.
