(Undated) – A single-vehicle accident yesterday morning claimed the life of an Oblong man. According to Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, Deputies were dispatched to the scene of the accident around 7 a.m. Rutan says thirty-nine-year-old Daniel Fritchie lost control of his 2010 Ford on 225 East near 1525 North causing the vehicle to leave the road, strike a ditch, and hit a utility pole before rolling over and coming to rest on the top. Fritchie was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
