(Undated) – If you use melatonin, health experts are reminding you to keep it out of the reach of kids. According to the CDC, unsupervised exposure of infants and young children to melatonin has soared recently. The agency found that between 2019 and 2022, nearly eleven thousand infants and young children visited hospital emergency departments because they accidentally ingested melatonin. Researchers say there’s been an uptick in adults using melatonin products, which aren’t generally required to have child-resistant packaging.
