Gas Prices Slipped Lower Over the Weekend

(Undated) – While the clocks “sprang forward” over the weekend gas prices fell slightly. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is down two cents from Friday to $3.40 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the price at the pump is down three cents to $3.70 a gallon. In Indiana, the statewide average is $3.33, down four cents from the end of last week. Texas is one of the only states still enjoying prices below the three-dollar mark with a statewide average of $2.89 a gallon, making it the cheapest state in which to fill up. California drivers continue to pay the most for gas with a statewide average of $4.87.
