(Oblong) – The Village of Oblong is getting ready to kick off “Operation Clean-Up Oblong.” According to Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, the Oblong Village Board recently voted unanimously to help clean up the Village by providing dumpsters. The Village of Oblong will provide three dumpsters, supplied by Yager Land Management, available for Village of Oblong residents only. Dumpsters will be staged at the Oblong Park by the Oblong Public Works maintenance building. The first available dumping date will be this Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit facebook.com/OblongMayor for additional information. Fielder also reminds Village residents that there will be an appliance and electronics recycling event on April 13th and Republic Services will conduct their “Spring Cleanup” on April 16th.
