Gas Prices Continue to March Higher

(Undated) – Gas prices continue to march higher across much of the nation. According to GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, “the reason is the season.” De Haan says gasoline demand is rising as more Americans are getting out. That combined with the summer gasoline switchover and continued refinery maintenance is what is driving prices higher. He says the upswing should slow down in the next few weeks as refinery output is starting to increase. De Haan says when it comes to diesel, the news has been good, above-average temperatures have lowered heating oil demand, and average diesel prices are on the cusp of falling back below $4 per gallon.
