(Sullivan, In) – The investigation into a fatal Saturday evening accident in Sullivan County, Indiana continues. According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, the preliminary investigation shows a southbound SUV pulled into the path of an eastbound car. The SUV, driven by Julie Libke of Sullivan, had five occupants all of which sustained serious injuries. One passenger, 82-year-old Mary Beth Olson, died from her injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, Alec Tatom of Sullivan, was not seriously injured. However, his passenger, Alexa Pearson, sustained serious injuries and was flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Investigators say the glare from the setting sun may have contributed to the accident.
