(Undated) – Gas prices continue to trend higher as we head into the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is hovering around $3.61 a gallon, up six cents from a week ago. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is ten cents higher than last Friday at $3.97 a gallon. In Indiana, the statewide average is $3.72 a gallon, up a quarter from last week. Mississippi still has the lowest prices in the nation at $3.08 a gallon and in California, drivers are paying the most with an average statewide of $5.23 a gallon.
