By Tony Collins Apr 24, 2024 | 6:45 AM

(Oblong) – With warmer weather comes increased use of golf carts, UTVs, and other “neighborhood vehicles.” Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, is reminding Village residents that annual permit stickers will be available beginning May 1st in the Village Treasurer’s office. Fielder says the annual fees are $50 per year or $25 per year for Veterans. She also reminds the public that you must be at least 18 years old to drive a golf cart, UTV, or neighborhood vehicle in Oblong. Machines must be “road ready,” are permitted on any Village street other than Main Street, and can be operated between 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. Find a full list of requirements and rules at facebook.com/OblongMayor.
