City of Robinson Issues Door-to-Door Solicitor Warning

By Tony Collins Jun 17, 2024 | 6:43 AM

(Robinson) – The City of Robinson is reporting a recent “uptick” in door-to-door solicitor activity. The public is reminded that solicitors must have a “Solicitor’s Permit” issued by the Robinson Police Department to legally sell items door-to-door. The process includes a background check of the applicant. The permit includes the solicitor’s name, business name, and the Chief of Police’s signature. Permits are valid for the days listed on the permit. Residents encountering someone selling door-to-door without a Robinson Police Department-issued solicitor’s permit should contact RPD by calling the non-emergency number, 618-546-1515 option 0, immediately so they can investigate the situation.
