The current “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service says afternoon heat index readings will peak in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees today and tomorrow. They say a “cold front” will trigger scattered thunderstorms tomorrow evening and overnight. However, severe weather is not expected.
