Gas Prices Tick Slightly Higher

By Tony Collins Jun 25, 2024 | 6:31 AM

(Undated) — For the second straight week, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has inched slightly higher. According to GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, with summer now officially here, we’ve seen the national average holding “mostly steady,” climbing just two cents over last week. He says for now, gasoline prices may see little movement ahead of July 4th as oil prices have risen above $80. De Haan says the good news is that instead of the national average jumping to follow the rising price of oil, it’s holding steady. He says the bummer is that the decreases we hoped for will have to wait. The current national average is $3.47 a gallon.
