(Undated) – The National Weather Service says colder temperatures will arrive tonight with wind chill values falling into the teens. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” a mix of rain and snow will move across the region on Wednesday. They say within the broader area of lighter slushy snow accumulations, they are monitoring the potential for a “narrow but intense” band of snowfall to develop in between the Illinois River and Interstate 70, which could cause minor travel impacts. Very cold temperatures will grip the region Thursday night through Monday night, with morning wind chill values falling into the lower teens Friday night onward.
