(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is up a nickel from the beginning of the week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.15 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is up four cents from Monday to $3.26 a gallon. Indiana drivers are paying a statewide average of $2.97 a gallon, a four-cent increase from the beginning of the week. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest prices nationwide with an average of $2.65 a gallon, up two cents from Monday’s average. Those in California are paying the highest prices in the nation at $4.74 a gallon, a twenty-one-cent jump from Monday.
