NWS Confirms Three Tornados Hit Central Illinois

(Undated) — While we escaped weekend storms without much damage not everywhere was so lucky. The National Weather Service is confirming that at least three tornadoes hit central Illinois. They say preliminary findings of a damage survey determined one EF-2 tornado started south of Neoga and ended a couple of miles south of the Charleston/Mattoon airport. Two EF-1 tornadoes were also located around three miles north of Mattoon and in Paris, Illinois.
