National Average Gas Prices Falls a Penny

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is a penny higher than a week ago. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.17 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.38 a gallon, down six cents from a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.23 a gallon, thirteen cents higher than a week ago. Mississippi has the lowest average in the country at $2.64 a gallon. Meanwhile, California has the highest average at $4.73 a gallon.
