Village of Oblong to Swear In Newly Elected Officials

(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong will swear in newly elected officials this afternoon during the board’s regular monthly meeting. The Village Board is also set to hear from Barbara Miller regarding the ditch on her property at 502 South Taylor, get an update from Angie Catt on behalf of the Oblong Chamber of Commerce, and open bids for the truck and truck bed. In other business, the Village Board will approve an ordinance setting and establishing the rates of payment for various Village employees. The board is also set to discuss the cost versus the grant amount for playground equipment. The Oblong Village Board meets this afternoon at 5 p.m. in the Farley Room of Village Hall.
