(Undated) — Four Lincoln Trail College students gained real-world experience during a recent competition. LTC Coordinator of Marketing and Public Information, Chris Forde, says the four Process Technology students tested their skills on a national stage, competing in the “North American Process Technology Alliance’s Troubleshooting Skills Competition.” Students Madison Davis, Kollin Ramos, Reeve Dennis, and Garrett Winterrowd represented LTC in the event, which challenges students from across the country to solve simulated industrial problems using Distributed Control Systems, teamwork, and real-world troubleshooting. LTC was one of only 12 teams chosen to participate. LTC Process Technology Instructor, Tina Lindley, says watching her students engage with industry professionals and compete against top schools from Texas, Oklahoma, and North Dakota was a source of deep pride and although the LTC team didn’t place in the top three, she says the experience left a lasting impact, both technically and personally.
