RHS Girls Track Team Finished 2nd in LIC Meet

(Robinson) — The Robinson Lady Maroons Track Team placed 2nd out of 8 teams in the Little Illini Conference meet yesterday. Mary Elliott won the LIC MVP award for scoring 1st place in triple jump with a new school record of 37 feet 11.5 inches, 1st place in the 100 with a time of 12.6, 1st in the 200 with a time of 26.11, and 2nd place in the long jump with a jump of 16 feet 3.75 inches. Zoe Tuttle got 1st place in the 100 hurdles with a personal best time of 16.59. Ella Tingley beat her own school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.50, earning 3rd. Temperance Hughlett got 1st place in the long jump with a jump of 16 feet 7 inches. The Lady Maroons finished with a team score of 116.
