(Undated) — The Real ID deadline is here, and the Better Business Bureau is warning the public to be on the lookout for scammers. Effective last week, those looking to fly domestically are required to have a “Real ID” or a passport. BBB Investigator, Don O’Brien, says scammers will be looking to capitalize on the confusion.
O’Brien says while they haven’t received any reports yet, it’s likely only a matter of time.
The BBB says you must get your “Real ID” from the DMV. They also remind the public to never provide financial information, a social security number, or an address to an unknown website.
