National Average Ticks Up as Oil Prices Rise

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has seen an eleven-cent jump from Monday. According to GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $3.19. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.39, up just a penny from Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.21 a gallon, a fifteen-cent jump from the beginning of the week. Mississippi has the lowest average in the country at $2.65 a gallon, a five-cent increase from Monday. Meanwhile, California has the highest average at $4.90 a gallon, up seven cents from Monday.
