Maroons Fall to Newton to Wrap Up the Season

(Robinson) — The RHS Maroons baseball season came to an end yesterday in the Regional Semifinal. The Maroons fell 4-3 to the Newton Eagles in Newton as a result of a walk-off. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the 7th when Newton’s Drake Wolf hit a sac fly to score the winning run. Gunner Hoalt took the loss for the Maroons, pitching six and a third innings, giving up four runs, on eight hits, striking out one, and walking three. The Maroons finish the 2025 campaign at 12-12 overall and 3-4 in the LIC.
