JADE has teased at a Little Mix reunion with a cheeky lyric change during her Radio 1’s Big Weekend set – watch below.

The ‘Angel Of My Dreams’ singer topped the bill on the New Music Stage at the festival in Sefton Park, Liverpool on Sunday night (May 25), marking her first ever full solo show.

The set included a version of ‘Wasabi’, a song from Little Mix’s fifth album ‘LM5’ in 2018. As the song reached its climax, JADE switched the track’s original lyric of “I bet they gonna break up / But what the hell do you know?” to “I bet they gonna break up / It’s a hiatus!

Watch the moment here, which drew a big reaction from the Liverpool crowd:

Taking a moment elsewhere in her set to address her former band, JADE said: “Guys, do you remember I was in a girl band, oh gosh you’re still going. I just want to say I love the Little Mix girls with all my heart. I’m so grateful to the girls, if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here today on my own. So shout out Little Mix.”

Watch other clips from her performance below, including the live debut of March single ‘FUFN’ and a Little Mix medley that included ‘Shout Out To My Ex’, ‘Sweet Melody’, ‘Woman Like Me’ and ‘Touch’.

Earlier this month, JADE announced her debut solo album ‘THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!”, which will be out on September 12 and will feature collaborations with RAYE, Mike Sabath, Lostboy, Cirkut and Pablo Bowman.

Little Mix formed on The X Factor in 2011, becoming the first group to win the competition. Jesy Nelson left the group in 2020 citing mental health reasons, with JADE, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards carrying on for two further years, before announcing their hiatus in 2022.

Nelson recently gave birth to “healthy and fighting strong” twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.
