Deadly Multi-Vehicle Accident in Cumberland County

(Cumberland Co.) — Authorities are investigating a deadly multi-vehicle accident that occurred in Cumberland County. Illinois State Police say the accident took place Tuesday on I-70, west of Greenup towards Effingham. One person was killed and another was hospitalized. The roadway was temporarily closed following the wreck.
