Gas Prices Lower Over Memorial Day Weekend

(Updated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is 6 cents cheaper than it was Friday. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.13 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.39 a gallon, a four-cent decrease from Friday. Drivers in Indiana are paying an average of $3.19 a gallon, down 6 cents from Friday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average at $2.62 a gallon. California has the highest statewide average at $4.77 a gallon.
