RPD Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” Campaign

(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department participated in the Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” campaign, resulting in 11 citations and several significant enforcement actions aimed at improving roadway safety. As part of the statewide traffic safety initiative, officers conducted increased patrols, focusing on seatbelt usage and impaired driving. The effort led to the following outcomes:

2 DUI arrests

1 felony arrest

3 fugitives apprehended

1 uninsured motorist citation

3 speeding citations

1 drug-related arrest

“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives,” said Police Chief Chad Weaver.
