Will ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ get a season 2?

By Chris Edwards May 28, 2025 | 7:15 AM
Nine Perfect Strangers, starring Nicole Kidman, has only just kicked off its second season on Hulu and Amazon Prime Video, but fans are already wondering if the show will return for a third.
The second season sees Kidman return as Marsha, a creepy wellness guru who pushes the boundaries with her clientele and often drugs them without consent. This time, the setting moves to an Alpine resort, where the guests are promised rest and peace, but are soon faced with hidden challenges. Meanwhile, Marsha struggles with personal issues of her own.
Alongside Kidman, the star-studded second season also features Annie Murphy, Murray Bartlett, Christine Baranski, Henry Golding, Mark Strong, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, King Princess, Lena Olin, and Lucas Englander.

Will ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ get a season 2?

As of now, there has been no official confirmation from Hulu or Prime Video about a third season.
With over half the episodes of the second season still to air, it’s currently unclear which direction the show will take and whether it will even set itself up for more episodes.
Considering the show was initially a limited series based on Liane Moriarty’s novel and was later expanded into an anthology format for season two, a third season would likely depend on viewership numbers, critical reception, and creative decisions by the show’s producers, including Kidman and David E. Kelley.
Season two has received mixed to poor reviews and currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 44 per cent, with some critics describing it as a step down from the first season.
However, fan reactions on social media have generally been positive, which could support the case for renewal.
In a three-star review of the first season, NME praised the “magnificent cast and premise” but described the final product as a missed opportunity.
