The National Average For A Gallon Of Fuel Rises Slightly

(Updated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is up 2 cents compared to Memorial Day. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.15 a gallon. Although here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.38 a gallon, a 1 cent decrease from Monday. Drivers in Indiana are paying an average of $3.12 a gallon, down 7 cents from Monday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average at $2.64 a gallon, up 2 cents from Monday. California has the highest statewide average at $4.76 a gallon down 1 cent from Monday.
