(Undated) — The American Red Cross is asking you to donate blood as we head toward the summer months. The school year is over, and it’s time for afternoons at the pool and family road trips. While summer means fun for many, it’s business as usual in hospitals across the country, and the Red Cross says they typically see a decline in donors. That is why they are reminding everyone that the need for blood doesn’t take a break, and donors must take time to give blood or platelets to ensure a strong blood supply in the coming months. The Red Cross will be set up at the Robinson Library tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. They will be in Oblong at the Municipal Building on June 12th from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Learn more about how to donate and schedule your appointment at redcrossblood.org.
