RPD Saying Goodbye to Chad Weaver and Dave Mullins

(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department is saying goodbye to a pair of longtime and decorated law enforcement officers. Both Chad Weaver and Dave Mullins are retiring after twenty-four years each of service to the public. Weaver was hired on June 11th, 2001. During his 24 years with RPD, Weaver served as a patrol officer, school resource officer, and field training officer. In 2014, he received the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) award for having over 150 DUI arrests. He was also an expert in crash reconstruction. Since 2016 Weaver has served the people of Robinson as Chief of Police. Detective Mullins was hired on April 16th, 2001. During his 24-year career, he served as a patrol officer, detective, range master, and worked in the Illinois Drug Task Force. Mullins accumulated countless narcotics arrests during his career.
