CMH Highlighting Men’s Mental Health

By Tony Collins Jun 13, 2025 | 6:45 AM

(Undated) — Crawford Memorial Hospital is reminding the public that men experience depression differently. According to CMH, for men, depression may look like anger, fatigue, irritability, and even physical pain. They say untreated depression can lead to damaged relationships, job loss, substance abuse, and even suicide. Tragically, men are nearly four times more likely to die by suicide than women, underscoring the urgent need to break this silence and seek support. June is “Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month,” and just as the body needs care and attention, so does emotional and mental well-being. Yet, there is a silent crisis in men’s mental health, one that too often goes unnoticed or unspoken. Learn more about Men’s Mental Health by visiting the National Alliance on Mental Illness website. If you or someone you know is struggling call the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
