(Undated) — The first real blast of summer heat is forecast for tomorrow. According to the National Weather Service, a “Heat Advisory” will go into effect tomorrow at noon and will remain in effect through 7 p.m. Tuesday. They say hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illness. The public is reminded to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside, such as wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. The National Weather Service says to try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening and take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.
