Duran Duran to bring annual ‘Danse Macabre’ Halloween show to Manchester for 2025

Duran Duran have announced that they will be holding their annual Halloween show in the UK for the first time this year. Check out the details below.

The tradition began back in 2022 when the band played an exclusive one-off show at the Wynn Theatre in Las Vegas. Taking place on Halloween, the gig saw Simon Le Bon and co. break out huge hits and rarities with a darker theme than usual.

This gig would later become immortalised with the release of their 16th album ‘Danse Macabre’ – a record that pieced together new music, themed covers, and darkly reimagined versions of Duran Duran’s classic songs.

Since 2022, the one-off Halloween shows have continued each year, and now the band have confirmed that the 2025 edition will see it head to the UK for the first time. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in Halloween attire and help celebrate with the band at the Co-op Live venue in Manchester on October 31.

“We are devilishly delighted to announce that we are bringing our annual Halloween extravaganza to the UK for the first time,“ said keyboardist Nick Rhodes. “It will be a unique, themed show unlike any of our other performances, overflowing with shocks and surprises — so even we do not know what may happen on the night…”

Frontman Simon Le Bon added: “I’m so excited to be coming to Manchester for this special Halloween concert. In fact, I’m thrilled — and, frankly, a little terrified!”

This year’s edition will follow on from a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden last year, and tickets go on sale from 10am BST on Friday (June 27). Pre-sale options will be available from Wednesday (June 25). Visit here for tickets and more information.

The news of the Halloween gig comes following Duran Duran announcing two huge shows in Ireland at the start of the year, which will be held in the next couple of weeks and see Nile Rodgers and Chic open. Afterwards, they will play two UK shows, one in Exeter and one in Chelmsford.

Around the time that the ‘Danse Macabre’ album was announced, the band spoke to NME about how they would love to play at Glastonbury – something they have surprisingly not yet done. “I’d love to [do it] – we just need to get the right slot, that’s all,” Le Bon said.

“We have had the chance to do it before, but it wasn’t playing the main stage and I think we’d like to be doing that for sure. I’m sure we’re in negotiations [with Glastonbury], and if not, we will be.”

More recently, Duran Duran launched two new perfumes crafted in collaboration with luxury Italian perfume house, Xerjoff.
