With a heat wave gripping much of the country, things are heating up on and off the field. The Cardinals kick off a four-game series against the rival Chicago Cubs—meeting for the first time this season and sitting just 4.5 games out of first in the NL Central. It’s a big opportunity to gain ground in the standings before heading to Cleveland for an interleague matchup with the Guardians.
