By Tony Collins Jun 25, 2025 | 6:35 AM

(Undated) – The Illinois Department of Public Health is reminding everyone to look out for the signs and symptoms of heat stroke. They say as extreme heat continues across the state the public needs to take the signs of heat stroke seriously. Symptoms include an extremely high body temperature, rapid pulse, throbbing headache, dizziness, nausea, and confusion. They say if any of these signs are present, seek medical attention immediately. Then, find a cool place, preferably in an air-conditioned, indoor setting. Visit keepcool.illinois.gov for more tips and resources to beat the heat.
