IDOT, ISP, and Local Police Join Forces for Holiday Patrols

(Undated) — Drivers are urged to be safe on the roadways during the holiday weekend. The Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Police, and local law enforcement say there will be zero tolerance for those driving impaired by alcohol, cannabis, or other drugs. IDOT says from July 3rd through July 7th last year, there were 17 deadly crashes in Illinois resulting in 21 deaths. Three of the deadly crashes involved drivers who had been drinking.
