CCSO Continues to Take Applications

(Undated) – The application deadline for the Deputy Sheriff position with the CCSO is coming up. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a new officer. According to Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, the department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Deputy Sheriff. Rutan says he or she will be a commissioned officer who will perform traditional law enforcement duties throughout Crawford County. He says that while preferred, law enforcement academy training is not required to apply. However, if an applicant is selected, they will be required to attend a law enforcement academy, and a power test will be administered before admission to the academy. The deadline to apply is July 28th. Applications may be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office or requested by e-mail.
