(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has seen a jump since Monday. According to GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.17 per gallon, eight cents higher than it was at the beginning of the week. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.49 a gallon, a dime higher than Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying a statewide average of $3.09 a gallon, a penny higher than at the start of the week. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average $2.71, a five-cent jump from Monday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.52 a gallon, up two cents.
