Stormy and Hot Weather Continues for the Area

(Undated) — The “active weather pattern” that has been a part of our forecast looks to continue. The National Weather Service says locally heavy rain is possible and storms are could redevelop this afternoon. In addition to heavy rain, a few severe storms are possible south of I-70 this afternoon and evening, with damaging wind gusts the primary hazard. The daily chance of showers and thunderstorms continues tomorrow through early next week. They say some of the storms could be severe on Saturday and Saturday night. Locally heavy rain will be possible at times. Just in time for the Crawford County Fair, heat and humidity are forecast to build back across the region starting Tuesday and will persist through much of next week, with heat indices expected to peak in the 105-115 degree range.
