(Undated) — Distracted driving led to a Friday morning single-vehicle accident. According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the accident at County Road 700 E near County Road 2100 N. Reports indicate that sixty-four-year-old Timothy Shanahan of Casey reached for something in the cab of his 2013 Chevy Suburban, causing the vehicle to exit the left side of the road, strike a field entrance, and become airborne before landing on its top. The vehicle sustained “disabling damage” as a result of this accident. United Lifecare Ambulance Service (ULC), Crawford County Rescue, and Prairie-Licking Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. ULC arrived on scene and evaluated Shanahan, who refused treatment on scene.
