(Undated) — Relief from the heat is forecast on the other side of a “slow-moving front.” According to this morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, a slow-moving cold front will bring repeated rounds of thunderstorms through tonight. A few of these could be strong to severe, posing a risk for damaging winds and heavy rainfall that could result in flash flooding. They say flooding will be most likely in low-lying and urban areas, or where heavy rain has occurred in the last several days. The forecast is calling for additional thunderstorms tomorrow as well. However, severe weather is not anticipated. The current forecast for the weekend is for sunshine and highs in the low 80s. Stay tuned to Classic Hits, WTYE, for the latest weather information.
