LTC Receives Grant from Marathon for Tech Center

(Robinson) — Lincoln Trail College recently received a one-hundred-thousand-dollar grant from Marathon to support the construction of LTC’s new Technology Center. LTC President, Tona Ambrose, says this generous investment from Marathon Petroleum Corporation is a tremendous boost for Lincoln Trail College and its students. Ambrose says the Technology Center will allow LTC to expand hands-on learning opportunities in programs that meet the workforce needs throughout the region. She says they are especially excited about how this facility will enhance the nationally recognized Process Technology program. The state-of-the-art facility will house the college’s Process Technology, Broadband Telecom, and Welding programs. Construction of the Technology Center began in August. The facility is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete. An official “groundbreaking” is set for October 21st.
